We were commissioned by government department and contractor to review the risk and operability of their process designs in water treatment works and sewage treatment works in Hong Kong. The objectives were to reduce the risk level and enhance the reliability of the treatment works.
We conducted dispersion modelling of gases, including nitrogen, oxygen, ozone and chlorine. HAZOP and risk assessment were also carried out to analyse the hazards impact of engineering design of vents.
We had also carried out reliability, availability and maintenance study (RAMS) to review and optimize the operability of the design.
We identified potential hazards and provided recommendations for optimising the engineering design for future operation through:
BMT conducted environment monitoring and laboratory analysis for sample for waste water, mud and cuttings, and cement from existing drilling campaign from client based on regulation, permit, and Indonesia government standards.
BMT reviewed the operability and reliability for current and future operations of an LNG terminal in Singapore.
We were engaged to prepare designs to more than double the output of an existing barge loading facility in Kalimantan, Indonesia. The facility handles a number of different grades of coal to deliver a specified blend to each barge.
In partnership with the University of Sydney and the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), we are helping to prepare new national guidelines regarding climate resilient materials.
