Developed by BMT, the Rapid Response Craft (RRC) is a multi-role emergency response vessel designed to deliver rapid intervention, firefighting, rescue, survey and security capabilities, within a remote control operating environment, utilising a single adaptable platform. Combining speeds of up to 40 knots with advanced casualty recovery systems, integrated survey capabilities, and optional crewed operation, the RRC is engineered to respond effectively to maritime emergencies while prioritising crew safety and operational flexibility. Providing rapid response first aid capabilities allows time for deployment of larger dedicated rescue vessels.

- High-Speed Response - Maximum speed of 40 knots and service speed of 35 knots enable rapid deployment. The vessel accommodates three crew and two passengers in shock-mounted seating, enhancing safety and comfort.
- Advanced Firefighting Capability - Dynamic positioning is provided by the twin outboard propulsion lines, while the centreline fire pump operates independently. During casualty recovery, the centreline drive supports recovery operations while the outboard engines maintain fire monitor capacity, enabling simultaneous manoeuvring and firefighting.
- Comprehensive Rescue Systems - Casualties can be recovered using floating belt systems or low-freeboard side access points, supported by onboard medical facilities. Remotely controlled recovery equipment enables engagement in confined or hazardous areas, while deployable floating safe havens allow conscious casualties to self-recover as the RRC continues search and rescue operations.
- Survey and Inspection Operations - Integrated ROV launch and recovery capability, together with dedicated drone facilities, provide underwater and aerial inspection capability supported by dual operator workstations.
- Optionally Crewed Operation - Remote operation from a shoreside or mothership control centre allows deployment into hazardous environments without placing personnel at risk. Integrated cameras, remote-control systems, communications drones and casualty recovery systems support safe operations, while remote control enables extended periods at sea resulting in increased utilisation.
- Security - Daylight and infrared EO cameras provide target detection, tracking and identification. X-band radar, with optional S-band radar, enables long-range surveillance, while AI-assisted sensor fusion improves threat detection and situational awareness.
