BMT supported in the development of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge, a significant large-scale project which has connected three major regions across the Pearl River Delta and has further improved cross-border connections. Spanning 55km, it is the world’s longest seabridge and one of the region’s defining landmarks.
The Hong Kong section comprises 120 hectares of artificial island and 9km of land and marine viaduct. The scope of work under BMT addressed a number of planning and marine traffic issues during the construction of the bridge, leveraging our expertise in:
BMT has worked very closely with our clients to provide dedicated marine safety and regulatory expertise to the construction of the Hong Kong Boundary Facilities and the Hong Kong Link Road, which encompasses the eastern bridge structure and the associated reclamation area.
Providing ongoing support to the Contractor throughout the construction phase, BMT’s role was to assist clients in developing specific and well-planned marine schedules, and recommend optimal marine works solutions with the preparation of marine traffic arrangement plans.
BMT’s involvement in the construction of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge facilitated the smooth proceedings of the marine works.
Following the provision of marine technical support for the bridge, BMT subsequently supported the development of infrastructure works at the western portion of the Boundary Crossing Facilities, which involved construction of roads and viaduct connected to the Airport island, that will further link the bridge into Hong Kong’s highway infrastructure.
We were appointed by Vopak Yang Pu, Hainan Storage Terminal to provide consultancy services on all matters relating to the marine facilities for the terminal development.
We have been providing engineering support to Muhibbah Engineering Bhd for the LNG Regasification Facilities Project, commencing from FEED for the LNG regas unit and the Island berth.
BMT has been engaged by Client to provide full-time safety engineering support for an offshore Floating, Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) modification project.
