BMT is excited to announce its continued collaboration with QinetiQ as part of Team Advance, which has secured a three-year contract with Defence Digital to deliver the next-generation of tactical military communications. This new TacSys Resource Partner (TRP) contract, valued at up to £150 million, builds on the success of the 2018 BATCIS Private Sector Support (BPSS) programme, where BMT provided critical technical and operational support to the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD).
The TRP contract, which forms part of the Land Environment Tactical Communications and Information Systems (LETacCIS) Programme, is designed to equip the British Army with advanced communications systems that enhance decision-making on the front line. BMT’s extensive experience from the BATCIS programme, where it worked alongside QinetiQ, Roke, and Atos (now operating under the brand Eviden), positions the company to bring significant value to this new project.
Richard Hills, BMT’s Account Manager for Defence Digital, said:
We are incredibly proud to be part of Team Advance and to continue our longstanding collaboration with QinetiQ. Our work on the BATCIS programme provided a strong foundation of technical expertise, and this new TRP contract allows us to further leverage that experience in delivering vital communication capabilities to the UK Ministry of Defence. It’s a privilege to be part of such a significant project, and we look forward to continuing our role in delivering these cutting-edge solutions to the Armed Forces.
Team Advance, led by QinetiQ and comprising BMT, Accenture, Eviden, and Roke, will provide a wide range of services to Defence Digital, including programme and project management, cost engineering, approvals, network, security, and safety engineering.
This new contract underscores BMT's role as a trusted partner in delivering battlefield communication and information systems to the UK Armed Forces, while also showcasing the company's commitment to innovation and next-generation solutions that enhance the British Army's operational capabilities in a digitally accelerated, networked landscape.
