The Flex-42X, designed and developed by BMT and Penguin Shipyards, is a midsized crew boat powered by three conventional Caterpillar C32 ACERT main engines. With top speed of 30 knots it is arguably the most efficient design on the market.
In addition, Alkahfi Chief benefits from the integration of a walk to work system located on the aft deck, an interceptor based ride control system, and luxurious business class seating on a 2 by 2 seats configuration.
The Flex-42X is a multi-role support platform designed to support a number of operations duty in addition to its primary purpose as a personnel and cargo transfer vessel. Specialist duties include security and escort, search and rescue, emergency response, fire-fighting, and medivac.
